CaCa City
CaCa City is a kind of game center where you can play board games. It isn't like Baby Boss for little children, it is for teenagers and adults. Anyone can go there and pay 30 NT to play any game in the center for one hour. If you have the membership card it only costs 20 NT per hour. The daily limit is 120 NT per person, so even if you play for 10 hours you still only pay 120 NT.
CaCa City is five years old and has many branches in Taipei area. We went to the ShiDa Road branch, which is the smallest. But you can also go to the SanChong, Youth Park or YongChun branches. There are lots of tables and chairs for many groups to play games. Some branches offer drinks or even food for sale, too.
The center has many bookshelves filled with hundreds of games. Most of them are in English, some are in Chinese and most come from Germany because the most famous game companies in the world are German. Ravensburger for example make many of the world's games and puzzles. They also have a 'Game of the Year' which is a best seller around the world. Many of these best sellers are found at Caca City.
Most people in Taipei might not know about this cool game center, but it is a cheap and fun place to go. We highly recommend it.
